Tumbling is a mechanical surface treatment method where the part is pre-treated before electrochemical or chemical treatment.
Tumbling allows massive quantities of pieces to be processed at a time. For example, it can be used to sand away burrs left over from the manufacturing process or to clean the surface of a piece, for example from rust.
